15" x 10.5" oil on linen on 2" thick cradled wood panel
This painting was inspired from a photo shoot with a model when I first moved to San Francisco. There are hundreds of usable shots there, some which may make their way into my store in the future, but there was something about the attitude in this gesture and pose as she dropped her shirt to the side. Also, the shockingly bright pink of her shirt contrasted nicely with the grays and blues in the environment.
This painting is and made on a hand-built cradled panel with Argentinian linen glued on. It was made by a good friend and his father. I had it in my studio for over a year before I decided to paint this, putting it off until I had a good idea. Because of the 2" profile, this painting ships unframed and is ready for hanging as is.
